New Delhi: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan visited Ayodhya on Friday to seek blessings at the newly consecrated Ram Mandir. This is his second visit as he had attended the consecration ceremony last month.

A video shared by PTI shows the actor, adorned in traditional attire, surrounded by tight security as he made his way to the temple.

According to NDTV, the actor's current trip to Uttar Pradesh is not solely for religious reasons; he is also there to inaugurate a new showroom for a prominent jewelry brand, for which he serves as the brand ambassador.

Amitabh Bachchan's earlier visit to Ram Temple
On January 22, he attended the pran prathishta ceremony of the Ram Mandir along with thousands of other guests from the entertainment, sports, and political spheres. During that visit, he shared pictures on social media, including a glimpse of the Ram Lalla idol in the temple.

Reflecting on his earlier visit in his blog, Amitabh Bachchan described it as "a day filled with the relevance of divine spirit.” He wrote, “A day filled with the relevance of divine spirit .. back from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya .. the glory, the celebration and the belief of faith .. immersed in the reckoning of the TEMPLE at Shri Ram's birth.. Not much can be said beyond this .. for faith does not possess description .. (sic)”
