Allu Arjun recently shared insights about his upbringing on Balakrishna’s talk show, 'Unstoppable With NBK', streaming on Aha. He spoke about how his father, producer Allu Aravind, raised him and his elder brother Bobby with a ‘middle class’ mindset, unlike their younger brother Allu Sirish, who was pampered. Arjun also reminisced about receiving an ‘old car’ at 18.

Allu Arjun on His First Car

In an AV, Sirish recalled an anecdote from their childhood, revealing that Arjun dressed so modestly that his friends were surprised by the ‘luxurious house’ they lived in. Arjun mentioned that he often felt ‘embarrassed’ going to school in a car. “I would ask the driver to stop the car at the end of the road because no one came by car,” he shared.

Arjun recounted how he and Sirish, who are closer in age, shared a room for 15 years and often argued, while Bobby, being older, had a different experience. “My father told me he would buy me a car when I turned 18. When the time came, he didn’t feel like buying me a new car. He bought some old car used by a friend. I pushed the car more than I drove it. Sometimes Bobby would push it while I tried to start it,” Arjun said.

He noted the contrast in upbringing between himself and Bobby compared to Sirish. “Since my grandfather (the late actor Allu Ramalingaiah) and father were from a middle-class background, they didn’t shed that mentality even when they made money. Bobby and I were also brought up like that, but our younger brother was pampered a lot,” he stated.

Upcoming Projects

Bobby has pursued a career as an entrepreneur and produced Varun Tej’s boxing movie 'Ghani'. Sirish’s most recent project was the comedy 'Buddy', an adaptation of the Tamil movie 'Teddy'. Arjun is gearing up for the release of Sukumar’s 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, which is set to hit theaters on December 5.
