Alia Bhatt is a pan-Indian star and is now on her way to becoming a global one. After her impressive Met Gala appearance last year, the Bollywood star is all set to make her debut at Cannes 2025. In a recent media interaction, Alia confirmed her next big moment on the international stage, delighting fans with the news that she will attend the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2025.

Alia Confirms Cannes Debut

“I am looking forward to it,” Alia said during a media interaction in Mumbai. The Cannes International Film Festival has seen several Indian celebrities grace the event over the years. In recent times, stars like Aditi Rao Hydari, Hina Khan, Kiara Advani, Urvashi Rautela, and several others have walked the red carpet at Cannes. Among the regular Indian veterans of the festival are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Sonam Kapoor.

Recently, Alia Bhatt met the media as part of her pre-birthday celebrations and even cut a cake with them. The actress, who will turn 32 on March 15, 2024, was accompanied by her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, who also posed for pictures with the paparazzi.

Alia at Met Gala 2024

Alia Bhatt turned heads at the Met Gala 2024 in a bejeweled Sabyasachi saree. The pastel-hued, heavily embellished saree featured intricate floral designs, making Alia look nothing short of a princess. However, the highlight of her look was the dramatic 23-foot-long train, which stole the show and cemented her status as one of the standout fashion icons of the evening.

Alia Bhatt work front

Alia Bhatt was last seen in the actioner 'Jigra' alongside Vedang Raina. The film bombed at the box office and was later released on Netflix, where it did not work as well. 'Jigra' was Alia's one of the first flops after a series of several hits and blockbusters including 'RRR', 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and more.
