New Delhi: Akshay Kumar is currently basking in the success of his most recent movie, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’. But amid the excitement, a shocking incident has made headlines: the actor's production company fell for a phoney casting agent. Reportedly, the Juhu Police Station in Mumbai has apprehended a person who was trying to trick actor Akshay Kumar's production company, Cape of Good Films, by pretending to be an employer with a scheme to defraud social media influencer Pooja Anandani.
Pooja supposedly received false offers from the accused suspect, Prince Kumar Sinha, 29, but because of her quick thinking, she was able to escape falling victim to the fraudulent overtures.
The Juhu police revealed that the culprit, who was disguising himself as Rohan Mehra, purportedly an employee at Akshay Kumar's production company, allured Pooja with fake job offers and a film project supposedly linked to the Nirbhaya case, setting up a meeting in Juhu.
As per reports, they first met at a local coffee shop, where he allegedly asked Pooja to stand for pictures with a photographer who claimed to be associated with Amitabh Bachchan. Later, they made plans to meet again at the JW Marriott in Juhu, where Pooja had already reported the incident to the police. At the decided meeting location, police quickly moved in and took Prince into custody.
Based on details obtained from Juhu Police, the accused called Pooja on April 3, pretending to be an employee of Cape of Good Films. However, it turned out that no such person was working in the production company. As soon as Pooja realised that the culprit was lying, she informed the production house. Pooja then lodged a complaint at the Juhu Police Station, which led to filing of a case against the offender and his subsequent arrest.
