Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, known for his unconventional methods and grounded personality, brought a slice of Mumbai’s vibrant street culture into his promotional campaign. Onlookers in Dadar were treated to an unexpected sight when the actor rolled up his sleeves and began assembling vada pav—a beloved local snack—on the bustling streets.

In the video clips circulating online, Aamir can be seen in a casual brown T-shirt and jeans, focused on putting together the perfect vada pav. Holding the bun and potato fritter in one hand and chutney in the other, he smiled for the camera while joining in on the lively banter. “Aare hari mirch nahi hai na? Ek main hari mirchi utha raha hoon,” he said, reaching out for a green chilli.

Fans React with Mixed Emotions

As expected with any public appearance by Aamir Khan, fans swarmed the location, capturing photos and videos. However, the internet had mixed feelings about the moment. One user commented, “With all his recent flops, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he started selling vada pav next.” Another raised hygiene concerns, asking, “No food-grade gloves?” and “Eww, he is making it without any gloves.” Still, many praised his promotional creativity, with one remarking, “Nobody can beat his promotional strategy,” while another joked, “This is compulsory ahead of a movie release.”

All Eyes on ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’

This flavorful street-side gesture comes just days before the release of Aamir’s much-anticipated film, 'Sitaare Zameen Par'. The film co-stars Genelia Deshmukh and a talented ensemble including Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Aroush Datta, and others. Marketed as a spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par, the film explores the emotional journey of intellectually disabled youth striving to win a basketball championship.

About Sitaare Zameen Par

In this upcoming family entertainer, Aamir plays the role of an assistant coach who, after being fired, is given a chance to redeem himself through community service. His assignment? To coach a group of specially-abled basketball players. With a message rooted in empathy and determination, Sitaare Zameen Par is set to hit theatres on June 20 under the Aamir Khan Productions banner.

From turning into a street food vendor to taking on an inspiring role, Aamir Khan once again proves that for him, storytelling begins long before the film hits the screens.
