New Delhi: The senior member of BTS, Jin, has already left for his mandatory military service in South Korea. Prior to his departure, the septet recently bid a warm farewell to one of their team members. The leader of the group, RM, has now spoken out about BTS' vocalist Jin, who was the first to enlist.

Before leaving for the boot camp, Kim Namjoon revealed what Jin said to the BTS members. The rapper mentioned that although Jin may have had a lot on his thoughts, he didn't speak much.

BTS's RM appeared on KBS News 9 on December 18 in the evening news segment. While speaking of Jin's enlistment he said,"Jin didn’t talk much. I think he had a lot on his mind, and when we went to the [training grounds], he said like the eldest member he is, ‘I’ll be back safely. I’ll let you know how it is after experiencing it first'.”

“A lot has happened until now, both as a group and individually, and it feels as if a chapter has passed. It was a moment that had to come, and since it was a moment we waited for, it really felt like we were experiencing the turning of a page in [the life of] BTS. I also have a complex mix of feelings, but I’m calm, and I think Jin is doing well at the training centre, so I’m waiting [for his return] in a calm and cool manner," the k-pop idol added.

BTS' Jin enlisted in the military earlier this month on December 13. Before he left for military service, RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook said a final goodbye to the singer. Each of them also posted heartfelt farewells on their individual Instagram account.

The 18-month service will shortly be joined by other BTS members, who will follow Jin. BTS is expected to make a full comeback around 2025, depending on each member's timeframe for completing their military duty.
