New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' is now streaming on Disney + Hotstar. The film had its ott release last week, on November 4, after a successful run in theatres, raking in over 250 crores at the box office. While Ranbir and Alia's story was much appreciated by the viewers in the first of its kind astraverse tale, the film's director Ayan Mukerji, recently revealed in an interview that he made a few changes in the version that released on ott.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama in an interview, Ayan revealed that he added a few sequences to enhance the love story of the lead characters Shiva and Isha essayed by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. He also mentioned that while the edit for the cinematic release was sharp and did not catch the actors' expressions, the new edits give a smoother graph.

Ayan said, "I added some bits in Shiva and Isha’s love story, Isha’s pull towards Shiva, and a couple of dialogues. It's subtle stuff. I believe that it will make the journey of the film a little smoother.”

Ahead of the action-adventure fantasy film's digital release, Disney+ Hotstar shared exclusive behind-the-scenes videos from the Nu Boyana Film Studios in Bulgaria. These exclusive videos present a glimpse of the mammoth preparation and process that went into making Brahmāstra: Part One– Shiva the astraverse that Indian audiences fell in love with in 2022.

Ayan Mukerji describes the challenges of shooting the climax scene of the film in an all-new BTS video from the set. “The most challenging sequence in our film has been our climax. It is a 20 minute sequence with action, visual effects, and emotion. There’s so much going on that it’s like a movie in itself,” he said.

Produced by Dharma Productions & Star Studios and directed and written by stalwart Ayan Mukerji, the film stars an ensemble of highly revered actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
