New Delhi: Actor Bhumika Chawla was also a part of the ensemble cast of Salman Khan’s film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.' Apart from the trailer launch, Bhumika was not present in any other promotional activities. She was also missing from 'The Kapil Sharma Show', where Salman Khan along with Shehnaaz Gill, Pooja Hegde, Palak Tiwari, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill and Vinali Bhatnagar, promoted the film. The actor has now said that she felt bad about not being called to the show and had no idea when the episode was shot.

She told RJ Siddharth Kannan in Hindi, “I said ‘I had no idea when it was shot.’ But they must have had some strategy. I felt bad for one second then I thought Venkatesh sir wasn’t there. We are a couple in the film. I did my calculation. Since he wasn't called, what would I say alone [in the show]? Those three couples were called, they are youngsters, their equation is different. So, I said ‘thik hai (it’s okay)'.”

“God has blessed me with one thing: I feel bad for one second and then I don't look back. Because I know The Kapil Sharma Show is not getting me another film. Mujhe PR karna hai toh mai bhi kar sakti hu but PR ke bawajoot agar guaranteed mujhe film milegi toh mai aaj Kapil Sharma ko call karke bolungi call me. Guaranteed mujhe aap agle din film la k do (I can do PR activities too but if the show can promise me a film the next day, I can call Kapil Sharma and ask him to call me),” Bhumika added.

She was also asked about her absence from all other promotional events of the film to which Bhumika replied that the question can only be answered by Salman Khan’s production or PR team. “I have so much of an ego that I don’t go around people or even ask them,” she added.

In the same interview, Bhumika also spoke about one movie that she regrets losing. Bhumika was supposed to do ‘Jab We Met’ but it was eventually done by Kareena Kapoor and is one of the most memorable characters till now.

“Ek hi baar mujhe bura laga tha, jab maine Jab We Met sign ki aur nahi hui (That’s the only time I’ve felt bad about losing a film). I was the first one, Bobby (Deol) and me, when it was called Train. The production changed and Ashtavinayak took over. Then Shahid and I were cast, then Shahid and Ayesha (Takia) and then Shahid and Kareena. That’s how things happened, but it’s okay. I only felt bad once and then never again because I just move on. I don’t think much about it. I had signed Munna Bhai MBBS but it didn’t happen,” she told Siddharth Kannan.

Bhumika, who made her Hindi film debut with Salman Khan’s film ‘Tere Naam’ in 2003, has worked in many Hindi and south Indian films. Apart from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, she was recently seen in the Tamil thriller 'Kannai Nambathey.'
