Virat Kohli gets emotional as he hugs Anushka Sharma

A night earlier, in a moment soaked in emotion, Kohli was seen running towards Anushka with tears in his eyes. The actress welcomed him with a warm embrace, congratulating him on a milestone victory that has taken 18 years to arrive. The cameras flashed relentlessly, capturing a moment that may well go down as one of the defining images in India’s sporting and pop culture history.

RCB's victory against PBKS

This victory is particularly significant for Kohli, who recently announced his retirement from Test cricket. While fans have always admired his unwavering commitment to RCB, this win feels like poetic justice for years of dedication and heartbreak.

RCB batted first in the final, posting 190 runs for 9 wickets in their 20 overs, with Kohli top-scoring with 43 runs off 35 balls. Punjab’s bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Kyle Jamieson kept the pressure on, sharing six wickets between them. In reply, Punjab Kings started strong but lost their way in the middle overs, eventually finishing with 184/7 — just shy of the target.

She was set to return with Chakda 'Xpress, a biopic based on cricket legend Jhulan Goswami, but with little news on the project’s release, its future remains uncertain.
