Alia Bhatt was announced as the Best Actress at the 69th National Film Awards for her outstanding performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie, 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. The awards ceremony took place at the Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi on October 17. Alia, accompanied by her husband Ranbir Kapoor, was seen leaving for Delhi earlier in the day. Subsequently, they arrived at the venue before the ceremony commenced. Interestingly, Alia chose to wear her wedding saree for this specail occasion, while Ranbir Kapoor looked dapper in an indo-western outfit.

Here is a look at her wedding attire:

Alia's ivory saree, designed by the renowned Sabyasachi, featured intricate golden embroidery throughout. The actress, however, gave it a distinct twist this time. She not only opted for a different set of accessories but also tied her hair in a bun instead of leaving it open. Additonally, Alia complemented her wedding saree with a stunning choker and matching ear studs.

She completed her look with subtle yet impactful makeup, including well-defined brows, kohl-rimmed eyes, nude lipstick, and a delicate red bindi. Additionally, Alia proudly showcased her stunning wedding ring. This appearance also reflected her character 'Gangubai,' as she donned not only an ivory saree but also adorned her hair with matching flowers, a style she embraced in the film.

Ranbir Kapoor, meanwhile, was dressed in an all-black ensemble, featuring a crisp bandhgala blazer, tailored pants, black shoes, and stylish sunglasses. Alia Bhatt's choice of attire at the awards ceremony made a strong statement, signifying that winning the National Film Award was one of the most significant moments in her life.

In addition to her, Kriti Sanon, who shared the Best Actress award with Alia Bhatt, also made an elegant appearance in a saree at the 69th National Film Awards ceremony.
