New Delhi: Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer 'Bholaa' has finally entered the coveted Rs. 100 crore club at the worldwide box office. It took the film some 17 days to do it but it has finally done it. However, for a big film like this, a Rs. 100 crore figure this late was not expected. Ajay Devgn, who has also directed the film, had a quite successful last release 'Drishyam 2' last year which had no problem with making 100 crores at the box office.

Now, 'Bholaa' which is in the third week of release has collected Rs. 80 crores domestic net and a worldwide gross of around Rs. 115 crores, Pinkvilla reported. ‘Bholaa’ released on March 30, 2023.

'Bholaa' did well when it was released around the Maha Shivratri holiday. However, after the first few days, 'Bholaa' underperformed at the box office and took this long to enter the Rs. 100 crores club.

'Bholaa' has now become the third highest grossing Hindi film of 2023 after 'Pathaan' and 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar'. Other remakes like 'Shehzada', 'Selfiee' and even 'Gumraah' have not seen good turnover at the box office.

Now, with ‘Shaakuntalam’ in theatres and Salman Khan’s upcoming release ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, the business of ‘Bholaa’ will see a further drop in collections. Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ‘Shaakuntalam’ released on April 14, 2023 to mixed reviews. Riding on a budget of Rs. 80 crores, there is a lot of expectation from the film's performance.

'Bholaa' is an action-adventure film directed by Ajay Devgn which has been jointly produced by  Ajay Devgn FFilms, Reliance Entertainment, T-Series Films and Dream Warrior Pictures. It is a remake of the 2019 Tamil film 'Kaithi'. Ajay Devgn is in the titular role in the film alongside Tabu, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, Garjraj Rao while Amala Paul, Abhishek Bachchan were seen in cameos in the film.

A sequel of the film will also be made.
