New Delhi: National language controversy has been reignited after Kiccha Sudeep's recent comment that Hindi is no longer a national language sparked it.
Kiccha Sudeep gave a statement in an interview with KarnatakaTak that “Hindi is no more a national language”. Sudeep's supporters and opponents were split on Twitter.
In response, Ajay Devgn attacked Sudeep for questioning why films in his own language were translated into Hindi. Sudeep has retaliated in kind to the netizens' fascination with the Bollywood actor's recent tweets.
Ajay Devgn wrote in Hindi that he disagreed with Kiccha Sudeep's comments.
It seems that Sudeep has replied to the Bollywood actor's comments and given an appropriate response with full of respect.
He penned the following: “I love and respect every language of our country sir. I would want this topic to rest,,, as I said the line in a totally different context. Mch luv and wshs to you always. Hoping to seeing you soon.”
Sudeep further wrote on Twitter, "Hello @ajaydevgn sir.. the context to why i said tat line is entirely different to the way I guess it has reached you. Probably wil emphasis on why the statement was made when I see you in person. It wasn't to hurt,Provoke or to start any debate. Why would I sir."
He continued his explanation in next tweet, saying:
After a flurry of tweets, Kiccha Sudeep said that he wants the subject to be put to rest.
