Udaan fame TV actress Malvi Malhotra recently hit the headlines when was stabbed by producer Yogesh Mahipal Singh on the night of October 26, for turning down his marriage proposal.

The accused was arrested by the Mumbai Police a day after the attack. Malvi suffered multiple injuries and was hospitalised. An FIR was registered against Singh under various Indian Penal Code sections, including 307 (attempt to murder), at the Versova Police Station.

And now almost a month later, the actress has now revealed that she is receiving “death threats” and is “scarred” for life.

She has also tweeted in an elaborate post, seeking help from Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh to provide her security.

Malvi has also lodged complaint against the accused alleging death threats.

While talking to Etimes Malvi says, “On November 18, I went for a walk with my parents in my building compound around 9 pm, when a man wearing a mask came on his bike towards me. He shouted at my father and said, ‘Yogesh will get bail soon. We will show you what can happen to you after that.’ I have been having sleepless nights after that incident, and I plan to move to another home soon.”

Talking about her recovery, Malvi says, “I haven’t even healed properly. The only time I go out is when I have to go for my regular medical check-up. My doctor has advised me to walk a bit in the evenings, so that my lower body, which had become immobile due to the stabbing incident, gets some exercise. I hope strict action is taken against this man.”

Malvi was attacked and stabbed with a knife thrice in Versova on her way back home from a café on October 26. The 23-year-old actress was taken to a suburban hospital after the incident in October and she was discharged after a week of intense treatment.

On the work front, Malhotra is waiting for her single video Tu Mila‘s release. She said, “I had been shooting non-stop ever since shoots resumed post the lockdown. I shot for a music video in July in Banaras and another one in September.
