New Delhi: After yesteryear actress Veena Kapoor's death news came as a shock to many, recent reports suggest that her son has been arrested by the police as he is the prime accusied in the case which has been ruled as murder. Veena Kapoor was allegedly murdered by her son. Her son used a baseball bat to brutally murder his mother and later disposed her body 90 km away from her residence in an isolated jungle, reported DNA India.


As per DNA India report, Kapoor's son murdered her for property reasons. Allegedly, Kapoor's son confessed during the interrogation that he wanted to grab a Rs. 12 crores plot from his mother.  An argument ensued between them and he ended up killing his mother in a fit of rage. The murder took place in the posh Juhu area of Mumbai.


The shocking news of Veena Kapoor 's murder has shaken the TV industry. 


The news of the alleged murder was first revealed by Veena's co-actor Nilu Kohli, who had worked with the 74-year-old for many years on both TV and film sets. Kohli, as per DNA India, revealed that Kapoor's son had been arrested and is being interrogated by the police.


Nilu had taken to Instagram to share a long post about Veena Kapoor's death and how it happened in the first place. Her Instagram post was captioned,  "Veenaji you deserved better.I am heartbroken,posting this for you.Kya bolun?Am at a total loss of wordsI hope you are finally resting in peace after soo many years of struggle.💔Reposted from @viralbhayani Just few blocks away from actor Jeetender's bungalow in Juhu is where this sad incident took place. "During the interrogation, he revealed to the cops that he killed his mother in a fit of rage after hitting a baseball bat multiple times on her head. He told them that there was a property dispute was going on among them due to which he committed the crime and dumped her body into a river near Matheran in Raigad district," it said.
