Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah has been hospitalised two days ago. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and there was a patch found in his lungs for which he is undergoing treatment currently.
Early today, the sad news of filmmaker Raj Kaushal passing away surfaced in media and soon after Naseeruddin Shah's hospitalisation news left his fans in shock.
Shah’s wife Ratna Pathak confirmed the news of his hospitalisation and said that the family is by his side at the hospital.
The 70-year-old actor is 'responding well' to treatment, his manager has said.
While talking to ABP News, his secretory Jayraj told, "He has been in the hospital for two days. He's under medical supervision. He was brought in for pneumonia. There was a patch found in his lungs and it became necessary for him to be hospitalised immediately. His condition is stable and he's responding well to the treatment, the senior actor might get discharged in a day or two as prescribed by the doctor."
Previously too on several occasions, Shah name surfaced in the news in a similar manner, however this time news of his hospitalisation turned out to be true.
The actor has been admitted to the same Hinduja Hospital, where legendary Dilip Kumar was admitted on Tuesday morning. On the work front, Naseeruddin Shah will next be seen in the upcoming film "Maarrich".
Directed by debutant Dhruv Lather, "Maarrich" also features Tusshar Kapoor, Anita Hassanandani, Rahul Dev and South actress Seerat Kapoor.
Shah will also feature alongside Rasika Dugal in the upcoming film "The Miniaturist Of Junagadh".
