New Delhi: Actor Rasik Dave died on Friday at the age of 65 due to kidney failure. Rasik, who was married to ‘Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor Ketki Dave, was on dialysis for the last two years. Rasik is survived by his wife, daughter, and a son. The funeral is expected on Saturday.
As per a report in Etimes, Rasik had been battling kidney-related health issues for a long time and he was on dialysis for the last two years. The kidneys continued to deteriorate and his last one month was very painful.
Rasik was a well-known name in Gujarati film and theatre circles. Rasik and Ketaki Dave also ran a Gujarati theatre company. He started his career in 1982 in the Gujarati film 'Putra Vadhu'. He has also worked in many Hindi television serials including ‘Mahabharat’. Ketaki and Rasik also participated in 'Nach Baliye' in 2006.
Many celebrities have mourned the loss of the actor. Actor, director, and producer Jamnadas Majethia tweeted about the actor’s demise and wrote, "Heartbroken and deeply saddened to hear about the untimely demise of Rasik Dave. Gone too soon brother. May God give your family the strength to get through his difficult time. Om Shanti”
Speaking of Ketaki Dave, she is the daughter of famous actress Sarita Joshi. Ketaki is known for her work in TV show ‘Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, the 2001 comedy film ‘Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya’. She was last seen in ‘Balika Vadhu 2’ where she played the role of Gomti aka Maadi Baa.
