Investigative findings have suggested that the scam involved inflated charges for the rental of dredging and desilting machinery. Officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) allegedly submitted exaggerated bills for equipment procured from Kochi-based Matprop Technical Services Pvt. Ltd in collusion with Kadam and Jay Joshi. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) suspects this was done in partnership with certain employees of Matprop and officials from the BMC’s Storm Water Drains (SWD) department.
A report by Free Press Journal stated that Morea was summoned after investigators discovered several phone conversations between him, his brother, and the key accused Ketan Kadam. Mumbai Police is currently examining the nature of these conversations.
Actor Dino Morea’s name emerged during the examination of call logs and financial transactions connected to the accused. According to police officials, his questioning is part of efforts to determine whether he had any involvement in or awareness of the interactions between Kadam and other individuals. The investigation is currently underway.
