In his maiden rally for Delhi Assembly Elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, saying they don't want the backwards, Dalits, tribals and minorities to get their due share.

Hitting out at the Aam Aadmi Party, which was part of the opposition INDIA alliance, Rahul Gandhi said people should ask Kejriwal if he supports reservation for the backward and caste census.

"Prime Minister Modi and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal do not even speak about caste census. Both want backward communities, Dalits, tribals and minorities to not get their rights... You should ask Prime Minister Modi and Arvind Kejriwal whether they support caste census or not... After the Congress government is formed in Delhi, we will conduct caste census in the national capital," the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha said while speaking at the rally in Seelampur area of the national capital.

The Congress leader also said that he would stand with anyone who is a victim of violence. Targeting Kejriwal in his first rally in the national capital ahead of Delhi polls, Rahul Gandhi said that the AAP leader was following Modi's strategy of propaganda and false promises despite rising pollution, corruption and inflation in the national capital.

He hit out at both PM Modi and Arvind Kejriwal over rising inflation and said the poor are becoming poorer and rich getting richer in the country.

"Inflation is at its peak. Poor people are becoming poorer and rich people are becoming richer. Ambani and Adani do marketing for PM Modi. Have you ever seen PM Modi, Arvind Kejriwal saying anything about Adani? ...We don't want a country of billionaires," the Congress leader said.

"Make Congress victorious, will ensure development as we did in past; neither Kejriwal, nor BJP can do what we can," Rahul Gandhi further said. He also promised a caste survey in Delhi if the Congress formed the government in the capital.

Rahul Gandhi said that Kejriwal promised to turn Delhi into Paris, but pollution and inflation is on rise in capital. "Kejriwal spread clean Delhi propaganda, promised to turn it into Paris, eradicate corruption, but pollution, inflation on rise," he added.
