Delhi Election Results: The highlight of the 2025 Delhi Assembly Election result is perhaps the outcome in the New Delhi constituency. The entire nation is keenly following the results of the New Delhi Assembly seat — will the voters back Kejriwal for the fourth time, or will they look for Sheila Dikshit's legacy in her son Sandeep, or will they give the BJP's Parvesh Verma a chance? Early trends of the vote counting for the Delhi election results on Saturday, February 8, showed Parvesh ahead, with Kejriwal close on his heels.

At 8:18 am, the BJP was ahead on 15 seats and the AAP was leading on 5. The Congress was yet to open its account.

The campaign in the New Delhi constituency had been nothing short of acrid and acidic. While AAP alleged a 'cash-for-votes' scam by the BJP's Parvesh Verma, the BJP attacked the AAP for allegedly bringing in cash and men from Punjab to influence voters. The Congress's Sandeep Dikshit accused both AAP and the BJP of distributing cash.

The New Delhi constituency recorded a relatively lower voter turnout at 56.41%.

The constituency, which includes Lutyens’ Delhi and is central to national politics, is home to a diverse electorate. Kejriwal has represented the seat since 2013, after unseating the incumbent CM, Sheila Dikshit, and retained it in 2015 and 2020. However, this time it looks to be an uphill task for him.

Kejriwal, who once rode the wave of anti-corruption sentiment, has faced growing public dissatisfaction over allegations of corruption and governance issues. The BJP has repeatedly attacked him for "failing to clean the Yamuna, provide clean water, and improve infrastructure".

Personal attacks and incidents like vandalism and stone-pelting have marred the race. Kejriwal is also dealing with lingering corruption allegations, particularly the one related to the 2021 liquor policy and the 'Sheesh Mahal' CM's bungalow renovation controversy.
