New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is presently holding a roadshow in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates ahead of the seventh and the last phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.


Prime Minister Modi began his roadshow from Maldahiya Chowk in Varanasi, ANI reported.


Scores have gathered at Prime Minister Modi’s roadshow in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi.


The 3.5 kilometer-long roadshow will pass through Lahurabir Kabir Chaura, Maidagin and Chauk area and will culminate near the Kashi Vishwanath temple.


The Prime Minister’s roadshow will cover the three assembly segments of Cantonment, Varanasi North and Varanasi South.


Prime Minister Modi will pay tributes to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya at BHU gate Lanka later in the evening.


The Prime Minister, as per reports, is also scheduled to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple.


The Prime Minister’s rally assumes significance as all eyes are on Varanasi where the stalwarts of major political parties are reaching today to garner public support.


Samajwadi Party chief and former Uttar Pradesh chief Akhilesh Yadav is also expected to hold a roadshow in Varanasi.

Prime Minister Modi will lead the poll blitzkrieg in his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi for two days on Friday and Saturday.


He is also scheduled to address a political rally tomorrow.


The campaigning for the seventh and final round of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh will end on Saturday.


Voting for the seventh phase will be held on March 7 for Varanasi and its eight adjoining districts.


Voting for the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly is being held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7.


The counting of votes will be held on March 10.
