Telangana Elections: The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Thursday released its third list of candidates for ensuing the assembly elections in Telangana. The list contains the names of 35 candidates for the Nov 30 polls. The party has fielded Dinesh Kulachari from Nizamabad Rural, and Pally Babu Mohan from Andole (SC). Mekala Sarangapani will contest from Secunderabad and Chittaranjan Das from Jadcheria.

  The list has only one woman candidate -- Challa Srilatha Reddy and she will be fighting the elections from Huzurnagar.


The party has pitted Lankala Deepak Reddy against Congress's Mohammad Azharuddin from Jubilee Hills. BRS has fielded Maganti Gopinath from this seat.






The party has announced 52 candidates in the first list and one name in the second. So far, 88 names have been announced by the party out of a total of 119. The BJP earlier revoked the suspension of party leader T Raja Singh and he has been fielded from his incumbent seat of Goshamahal. He was suspended in August last year and he was also booked by the Police for his alleged derogatory comments against Prophet Muhammad.


In a release, the party said that its Central Disciplinary Committee has decided to revoke Singh's suspension on the basis of his reply in the matter.


Meanwhile, the National President of BJP's OBJ Morcha, K Laxman slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Speaking on his party's promise to give Telangana an OBC CM, he said, "Rahul Gandhi said that it is impossible for BJP  to make OBC CM. I condemn this statement by him which insults the entire OBC community. In the 60 years in power, Congress could not make one CM from the OBC community..."


Telangana will vote on November 30 and the results will be announced on December 3, along with Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram.
