As the suspense over the selection of the chief minister continues in Rajasthan, Bharatiya Janata Party chief JP Nadda called former state CM Vasundhara Raje on Sunday and advised her to not meet party MLAs and let the top brass decide on the CM face. Raje urged Nadda to make her CM for one year. The former CM refused Nadda's proposal to become Lok Sabha speaker, sources in the BJP told ABP News.


The legislature party meeting will be held in Rajasthan tomorrow. On the legislature party meeting, Rajasthan BJP MLA Jogeshwar Garg said that the name of the state CM sill be announced tomorrow. "All the 3 observers will reach Jaipur tomorrow by 11 am and will meet the MLAs. (CM name) will be announced tomorrow," Garg said, as quoted by news agency ANI.






Earlier on Sunday, some newly elected BJP MLAs met Vasundhara Raje at her Civil Lines residence. In the assembly election results declared November 30, the BJP got 115 seats while the Congress secured 69 seats. Elections on 199 out of 200 seats in the state were held on November 25. Polling in Karanpur, where the election was adjourned due to the demise of the Congress candidate, will be held on January 5 and results will be declared on January 8.

The saffron party has appointed three observers, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, to oversee the BJP legislature party meeting which is yet to be announced.


On Sunday, Congress MLA and Rajasthan Adivasi Meena Seva Sangh president Ramkesh Meena has wrote to BJP brass asking them to appoint tribal leader Kirodi Lal Meena as the CM of the state. Kirodi Lal Meena is the BJP MLA from Sawai Madhopur.
