Bharatiya Janata Party Rajasthan unit chief CP Joshi said on Wednesday that the oath-taking ceremony of the CM-designate Bhajanlal Sharma and Deputy CM-designates Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa is slated to be held on December 15. He further stated that party workers from across the state will be arriving to attend the ceremony, and Prime Minister Naendra Modi has also been invited.

"The oath-taking ceremony of the CM-designate (Bhajanlal Sharma) and Deputy CM-designates (Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa) will be held on December 15. Party workers from across the state will come here. We have also invited the PM, the Union Home Minister, and other leaders to attend the ceremony," Joshi said, as quoted by news agency PTI.

On Tuesday, the BJP named Bhajanlal Sharma, a first-time MLA from Sanganer, as the next Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The announcement comes after a crucial legislature party meeting on Tuesday. BJP central observer Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and two co-observers—national vice president Saroj Pandey and national general secretary Vinod Tawde—were present in the meeting.

Addressing a press conference, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that former CM Vasundhara Raje proposed Bhajanlal Sharma’s name during a meeting of the newly-elected legislators, and his name was agreed to unanimously.

In the November elections, the BJP secured 115 seats out of 199, and polling in one constituency was postponed. Raje is considered one of the frontrunners for the post, alongside other leaders such as Union ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Ashwini Vaishnaw.
