'No Less Than A Big Bungalow': Mayawati’s Remark On Yogi Adityanath’s Monastery Sparks Twitter War

Yogi Adityanath responded to Mayawati’s remark with the allegation that has been raised against her of using a government sanctioned aircraft to order expensive shoes.

New Delhi: With just a few days left for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections to take place,the political sphere of UP is witnessing new developments everyday. On Sunday, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati took to Twitter to take a dig at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over his monastery in Gorakhpur. The BSP supremo wrote that Adityanath’s monastery in Gorakhpur is “no less than a big bungalow.”

“Probably people from Western U.P. do not know that the monastery built by Yogi ji in Gorakhpur, where he resides most of the time, is no less than a big bungalow. It would have been better if he had told about this as well,” she tweeted.

She further said that it would have been better had the Chief Minister mentioned the work done by her government in favour of the public. "Also, it would have been better if the Chief Minister of UP, along with the praise of his government, had also mentioned the works related to the public interest of the BSP government because they should know that the cases of giving houses to the poor and land to the landless, the record of the BSP government has been excellent."

Yogi Adityanath responded to Mayawati’s remark with the allegation that has been raised against her of using a government sanctioned aircraft to order expensive shoes. “On one hand, Chief Minister Shri @myogiadityanath ji Maharaj dedicated the government aircraft to protect the lives of the people of the state during the Corona period.On the other hand, sandals were ordered from the government plane, misusing the state resources for personal splendor. The difference is clear!,” tweeted the official Twitter handle of the office of Yogi Adityanath. 

He then asked Mayawati to visit the Gorakhpur Monastery and said that she will find peace there. “The memories of sages-saints and revolutionaries of freedom movement have been preserved in Shri Gorakshapeeth, the Tapobhoomi of Baba Gorakhnath ji. There are temples of Hindu gods and goddesses. This center of 'Social Justice' is working for the welfare of all. Come sometime, there will be peace,” the official handle tweeted. 

The Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election will be held in seven phases starting from February 10. The counting of votes will be done on March 10.
