Greater Noida: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute of Archaeology in Greater Noida. Under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), the institute is located in Knowledge Park-II, Greater Noida. The PM also unveiled a statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on the campus of the institute. On the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and local BJP MP Mahesh Sharma were also present. Soon after the inaugurations, PM Modi addressed a public rally here ànd said that Noida has become the 'Make in India' for the country.

"The city has contributed immensely in country's growth. People used to connect Noida with scams and corruption but now people link Noida and Greater Noida because of development and job opportunities. Noida has become ‘make in India’ hub for the country,” PM Modi said during the mega rally.

Further speaking about the construction of Jewar Airport in Noida, PM Modi said, "To improve connectivity from here, the country's biggest airport is being constructed in Jewar. All formalities regarding this decision are complete." PM Modi also attacked the previous governments of Uttar Pradesh and said that several developmental projects here could not be executed due to non-cooperation and lacking nature of the earlier governments. "BJP government is constantly working towards developing the state. "But the previous governments stalled development works," the PM said.

Modi also said that industries in Noida have generated multiple job opportunities for the youth. "Today, I am here to strengthen Noida to fulfil its goal of generating more job opportunities and spreading prosperity,” Modi said.

The prime minister is also scheduled to inaugurate the Noida City Centre-Noida Electronic City Section of the Metro. This new metro phase will provide much faster mode of transport for the residents of Noida. The new 6.6km metro section, which is an extension of Delhi Metro's Blue Line, will have 6 stations and provide massive relief to citizens of Noida.
