MP Elections 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he lives in the hearts of the people of Madhya Pradesh because Congress tried to "loot" them in its 10-year rule at the Centre. Pitching for the BJP just 10 days ahead of the polls in MP, the PM said the grand old party has taken away everything from the poor and middle-class people.

"Modi is in Madhya Pradesh's heart - why? Because the Congress in its 10-year-rule at the Centre only tried to loot the poor and medium class people," the PM said while addressing an election rally in MP's Sidhi.

He greeted the people for giving their blessings to him, adding that he was "touched and give my special gratitude to the mothers and sisters who have come here in large numbers".

The PM said whatever the BJP government says, it fulfills it. "Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, we are depositing money in the accounts of farmers. Under this scheme, till now Rs 2.6 lakh crores have been deposited directly into the accounts of farmers.  Rs 20,000 crores of this scheme has also gone into the accounts of farmers of MP..." the Prime Minister said.

Slamming the Congress party, the PM said they never forget to abuse him and that they opposed making an a"divasi as country's President".

PM Modi said that Rs 13,000 crore is being spent on Vishwakarma scheme for traditional artisans and craftspeople. "Money saved by stopping scams led to framing of schemes for poor people," he added.
