Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 13,000 crore in his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on Friday. PM Modi arrived at Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport in Varanasi late Thursday night, where he was met by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.


Prime Minister Modi will sound the poll bugle for "Mission 2024" from Varanasi, as he will dedicate multiple development projects to Varanasi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will stay in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, which is being considered special in many ways, as the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections could be made at any time now. It is being considered as his final visit in his second term as Prime Minister and Varanasi MP.


PM Modi Inspects Shivpur-Pulwaria-Lahartara Marg


At approximately 11 p.m., the Prime Minister arrived in Varanasi after a long and busy day in Gujarat. He went to examine the Shivpur-Pulwaria-Lahartara Marg.

It was inaugurated lately. It is extremely beneficial to around 5 lakh people residing in the southern portion of the country, including BHU and BLW, who wish to go to the airport, Lucknow, Azamgarh, and Ghazipur.


It was built at Rs 360 crore. It is helping to alleviate traffic congestion. It reduces the distance between BHU and the airport from 75 minutes to 45 minutes. Similarly, the distance between Lahartara and Kachahri is being reduced from 30 to 15 minutes. This initiative involved inter-ministerial collaboration, including from the Railways and Defence, to improve the quality of life for Varanasi people.

On Friday, PM Modi will attend a prize distribution ceremony for the winners of Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita at Swatantra Sabhagar, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.

The prime minister will visit Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali at 11.15 am for 'pooja' and 'darshan'. At 11.30 am, the prime minister will attend a public ceremony marking Sant Guru Ravidas' 647th birth anniversary.

In the afternoon at around 1:45 pm, Prime Minister Modi will address a public gathering in Varanasi to inaugurate and lay the groundwork for numerous development projects totaling more than Rs 13,000 crore.


Development Project In UP's Varanasi


Taking a step towards development of his parliamentary constituency ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the prime minister will launch and lay the groundwork for many development projects totaling more than Rs 13,000 crore in Varanasi. Modi will launch and lay the foundation stone for a number of road projects in Varanasi, including the four-laning of the Ghargra-Bridge-Varanasi stretch of National Highway 233 and the Sultanpur-Varanasi part of National Highway 56.


To spur industrial development in the region, the prime minister will also be launching an HPCL LPG bottling plant in Sewapuri, a Banas Kashi Sankul milk processing unit at UPSIDA Agro Park Karkhiyaon, various infrastructure projects at UPSIDA Agro Park Karkhiyaon, and a silk fabric printing common facility center for weavers.

Modi will set the groundwork for a National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Varanasi, bolstering the city's well-known textile industry. According to the announcement, the new institute would boost the textile sector's education and training infrastructure. The prime minister will lay the groundwork for a new medical college in Varanasi, therefore improving the city's healthcare system. He will also lay the foundation stone of the National Center for Ageing at Banaras Hindu University.
