West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slipped and fell while taking a seat after boarding her helicopter in Durgapur, Paschim Bardhaman on Saturday, news agency ANI reported. The video of the incident was posted by the news agency on X. It can be seen in the video that after climbing the stairs in the helicopter, Mamata was trying to sit on the seat, however, she slipped and fell. There is no official statement about the incident yet, but she reportedly was not seriously injured and left for Asansol for the campaign.






Earlier in March, Mamata had suffered a "major injury" to her forehead after she fell at her home. The CM received stitches on her forehead. Her party, All India Trinamool Congress, had posted photos of Banerjee on a hospital bed with a deep cut in the middle of her forehead and blood on her face. Click here to read the full report. 


However, the Bengal CM had faced injuries earlier due to an emergency landing of a Helicopter she was travelling in. In June 2023, Mamata had sustained injuries given the helicopter's emergency landing due to bad weather. She later arrived at Kolkata's SSKM Hospital, Kolkata for a check up, news agency PTI posted a video of the same on X.
