New Delhi: Family members of Mohan Yadav, the BJP MLA from Ujjain South, expressed happiness after he was elected as the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He was the former Higher Education Minister of the state.


Following the announcement, Yadav's wife said that this is Bhagwan Mahakal's blessing. She stated that whenever Yadav visited Ujjain, he offered prayers to Mahakal.


Speaking to ANI, she said, "Bhagwan Mahakal ka ashirwad hai, party ka ashirwad hai. He has been working with the BJP since 1984. Whenever he used to come to Ujjain, he went to offer prayers to Mahakal."






His sister conveyed her gratitude, stating, "Our joy knows no bounds. Yes, his name was doing the rounds but we didn't know it exactly. God has given him the fruits of his hard work."










Poonam Chand Yadav, father of Mohan Yadav, told ANI, "Achcha lag raha hain..."


Celebrations started at the residence of Mohan Yadav soon after the announcement was made.






BJP leaders, including former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, congratulated Yadav after he was named as the new Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.


In his initial response to the announcement, Yadav expressed gratitude to both central and state leadership. "I am a small worker of the party. I thank all of you, the state leadership and the central leadership. With your love and support, I will try to fulfil my responsibilities," Yadav said. 


On Sunday, the party announced Vishnu Deo Sai as the chief minister of Chhattisgarh, making him the first tribal CM after former CM Amit Jogi.
