New Delhi: The Grand Alliance of Bihar is likely to declare the names of its candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Friday. As per sources, the alliance has already come to a consensus on the seat sharing formula and they are likely to announce the same during a press conference at 4pm.
Tejashwi Yadav, Upendra Kushwaha, Manjhi, Sharad Yadav and Mukesh Sahni are likely to take part in the briefing.
The Congress is yet to come to a consensus over the number of seats. As per sources, last attempts are being made to convince Congress over the seat-sharing. The sources said that Congress has been given 9 seats, but the matter is still stuck over 2 seats.
Upendra Kushwaha’s party is getting 5 seats, Jitanram Manjhi is being given 3 seats and three seats have been left for Mukesh Sahni’s Vikasheel Insaan Party. This means RJD has been given 20 seats.
As talks are yet to be over with Congress and CPI-ML, therefore there is a probability of changes to take place at the last moment.
The BJP on the other hand on Thursday finalised the candidates for the 17 Lok Sabha seats it will be contesting in Bihar and the names will be announced jointly with the allies, senior party leader J P Nadda said Thursday.
The BJP is likely to repeat almost all its sitting MPs barring a few seats including Patna Sahib and Madhubani.
