Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that the country is being applauded from ground to space. Addressing a public rally in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh's Damoh, the PM said, India's Chandrayaan reached that spot where no country has ever reached, India's G20 presidency being praised globally.
"Today, praises are being sung of India in the whole world. India's Chandrayaan-3 has reached where no other nation has reached. The G20 summit held in India is being talked about by all. Our sportspersons are setting new records every day," he said.
Training guns on Congress, Modi said that the grand old party kept on lying about eradivating poverty from the country but did not do so because the intent of their leader was not right. Cautioning the voters against Congress, the PM said that if the party will come back to power in MP, it will push the state back to being a 'Bimaru' state.
Development of the country and the state is not important for Congress, but only its own interest, he added.
"When we (BJP) formed a government (at the Centre) in 2014, I punctured all the tyres of Congress' corrupt machinery. We created a 'trishakti' of Aadhaar, bank accounts and mobile that Congress' corrupt machine could not bear," he added.
Alleging that previous Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was being "operated" through a "remote control" he said that same was the case with party's current president Mallikarjun Kharge.
Without taking name, he said, "When the remote was on, he abused Sanatan, but as soon as the remote was switched off, he remembered Sanatan. Yesterday he said that there are 5 Pandavas in BJP. We are proud that we are following the path of the five Pandavas.
After Damoh, Modi will hold two more rallies in the state including Guna and Muraina in a bid to boost electoral gains in MP's Bundelkhand and Gwalior-Chambal regions.
Madhya Pradesh will undergo single phase voting for its 230-member Legislative Assembly on November 17 while the votes will be counted on December 3 along with Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, and Telangana.
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi is also scheduled to visit the state where she will also hold three rallies in Ujjain, Dewas, and Indore.
