Congress MP Rahul Gandhi recorded his victory against CPI's Annie Raja and BJP's Surendran in Wayanad. Another Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was also reelected from Thiruvananthapuram despite a tough contest against Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
DMK-led alliance leads in all 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar said that the pre-poll alliance established with National Democratic Alliance will continue. He said, "It's a landslide victory for Telugu people and our party, the people have given one-sided victory to us... According to me, as Chandrababu Naidu has contested assembly elections, he will continue to be there only. We have committed to NDA, a pre-poll alliance is there and that will continue. We are in touch with the BJP, a few came and visited and a few have contacted us on the phone...TDP is a regional party having a national outlook..."
After recording massive leads in Assembly and Lok Sabha Assembly results, Janasena party chief Pawan Kalyan reached Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad to leave for Andhra Pradesh.
After failing to establish a lead in even a single constituency contested by the party, BRS leader KT Rama Rao took to X and said, "In the last 24 years since TRS was founded, we have seen it all. Stellar achievements, successes and also many setbacks. The greatest glory: formation of Telangana state will remain our Biggest achievement. Being a regional party won two consecutive state elections with a good majority 63/119 - 2014 88/119 - 2018. Currently, the principal opposition with 1/3rd seats 39/119 - 2023."
"Today’s electoral setback is certainly very disappointing. But we will continue to toil and will rise from the ashes again like a Phoenix," he said.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy wins Mandya by bagging 8,51,881 votes with a margin of 2,84,620 votes. JD(S) candidate Mallesh Babu also won from Kolar constituency, according to ECI.
Thiruvananthapuram Congress candidate Shashi Tharoor shared sweets with his supporters after he maintained a gain in the Lok Sabha elections. In the seat, BJP candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar was trailing.
Shashi Tharoor said, " This is the blessing for the 4th time and I will do my best to be worthy of that trust to serve them well. The world T20 is going on but super over was here...BJP put up an enormous fight...One important message of Suresh Gopi in Thrissur is that his systematic outreach to minority communities. It is a very strong message to BJP that communal campaign won't go very far in Kerala..."
Andhra Pradesh Congress president and sister of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YS Sharmila Reddy trails in Kadapa constituency as her cousin YSRCP candidate YS Avinash Reddy leads in the seat. YS Sharmila trails by 4,02,245 votes.
Daggubati Purandeshwari, BJP state president, leads by a whopping 2,35,247 votes in Rajahmundry constituency.
Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai trailing by 30,736 seats from Coimbatore constituency.
JD(S) workers in Karnataka's Mandya celebrate as trends show NDA leading.
Congress leader and son of former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Karti Chidambaram leads in Sivaganga (Tamil Nadu) by 65,109 votes
Shashi Tharoor, Congress candidate from Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat, leads the seat by a margin of 3,947 votes. However, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister and BJP candidate, is trailing.
Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah called up TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and congratulated him, according to ANI, quoting TDP sources.
As per official ECI trends, TDP is leading on 16 Lok Sabha seats and is leading on 131 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh. Counting for both elections is underway.
According to ANI, JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy said, "JD(S) got the results that we had expected. But I am not happy about the results in Hassan. Overall, in Karnataka, we would have won another 4-5 seats but because of our mistakes, we lost more than 4-5 seats...People have shown Congress that JD(S) is still alive in Karnataka."
Union Minister and BJP candidate from Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha Rajeev Chandrasekhar is leading from the seat with a margin of 22, 960 votes. In the seat, Congress candidate Shashi Tharoor trailing.
In Andhra Pradesh, TDP leads in 15 seats including Srikakulam, Vizianagaram,Visakhapatnam, Amalapuram, Eluru, Vijayawada, Guntur, Narsaraopet, Bapatla, Nandyal, Kurnoolu, Ananthapur, Hindupur, Nellore and Chittoor(SC).
In Telangana, Venkatrama Reddy leads Medak constituency by 3,128 votes, as per ECI.
According to the Election Commission of India, 19 DMK leaders including Thamizhachi Thangapandian (South Chennai), Dayanidhi Maran (Chennai Central), TR Baalu (Sriperumbudur), G Selvam (Kancheepuram), Kathir Anand (Vellore), CN Annadurai (Tiruvannamalai), Selvaganapathi (Salem), KE Prakash (Erode), A Raja (Nilgiris), Eswarasamy (Pollachi), Arun Nehru (Perambalur), Thanga Tamilsevelvan (Theni) and Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (Thoothukudi) are leading in Tamil Nadu.
As per initial indications, Karnataka remains inclined towards the NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The NDA is currently ahead in 22 seats, while the I.N.D.I.A. bloc leads in 6 seats.
UDF candidate Shashi Tharoor leads in Thiruvananthapuram by 1,920 votes against BJP candidate Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
The suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna, who faces rape allegations, leads in Hassan constituency.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's candidates, including Kanimozhi (Thoothukudi), T R Baalu (Sriperumbudur), Dayanidhi Maran (Central Chennai), and Tamizhachi Thangapandian (South Chennai), are currently leading in their respective constituencies.
The candidates fielded by DMK's alliance partners including Karti Chidambaram from the Congress (Sivaganga) and Marxist party candidate Su Venkatesan (Madurai), hold narrow leads over their opponents.
In addition, BJP's Annamalai (Coimbatore), L Murugan (Nilgiris), Nainar Nagendran (Tirunelveli), PMK's star candidate Sowmya Anbumani (Dharmapuri), and AIADMK's Aatral Ashok Kumar (Erode) are fiercely contesting their electoral battles.
DMK MP candidate from South Chennai, Thamizhachi Thangapandian expressed her confidence in a sweep for DMK.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Thamizhachi Thangapandian said, "All 40 seats will be won by DMK in Tamil Nadu and I.N.D.I.A. alliance will have a sweep all over India. It is a grand victory for I.N.D.I.A. alliance and here, it is a massive victory for DMK front."

In Andhra Pradesh, early trends indicate YSRCP with 3 seats, BJP with 2 seats, and Congress with 2 seats.
Early trends in Kerala indicate that the LDF is leading in eight seats, while the UDF is ahead in six seats.

Taking to X, Thiruvananthapuram candidate Shashi Tharoor said, "Life is a beautiful journey, whatever will happen tomorrow...Good luck INDIA."
Tharoor is facing fierce competition from Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
Union Minister and BJP's Telangana President G Kishan Reddy said that the party will win double digits in Telangana. He said, "People from all over the world are watching our Lok Sabha elections. I have full faith that with the blessings of 140 crore people of India, Narendra Modi ji will become the Prime Minister for the third time...We will win double-digit seats in Telangana..."
Further, Kishan Reddy said, "PM Narendra Modi will take oath in the second week of this month with the blessings of the people..."
The vote counting process for all 543 Lok Sabha seats commenced at 8 am. Initially, postal votes will be tallied until 8:30 am, followed by the counting of EVMs.
As the BJP aims for a third consecutive victory, the Opposition has united under the I.N.D.I.A. bloc, seeking to challenge the ruling party's dominance.
In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena announced on Monday that the Election Commission supervised the registration of 11,249 seizure FIRs as part of poll-related enforcement measures in the state.
The seizures, including cash, liquor, drugs, precious metals, and other items, amounted to Rs 483 crore from January 1 to June 2, as disclosed during a press conference at the Secretariat.
Ahead of the counting of Lok Sabha Election results, Congress candidate from Sivaganga Lok Sabha seat Karti Chidambaram offered prayer at the Kali Amman Temple in Karaikudi, Sivaganga district.
Telangana recorded a 66.3% voter turnout for the Lok Sabha polls, with the main contest unfolding among the ruling Congress, the BRS, and the BJP.
In the 2019 elections, the BRS secured nine seats, while the BJP claimed four, with the Congress winning three and AIMIM securing one.
Prominent BJP candidates include Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, along with sitting MPs Bandi Sanjay and D Arvind. Meanwhile, key contenders from the Congress camp include former Union Minister Balram Naik, former IPS officer R S Praveen Kumar representing BRS, and AIMIM's party chief Asaduddin Owaisi.
All eyes are set on the contest between BJP candidate Madhavi Latha pitted against All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad Lok Sabha Seat.
On the counting, BJP candidate from Hyderabad Madhavi Latha said, "I am pretty excited and all of them who have voted for BJP in the entire country are looking forward for especially this particular seat that we win and bring justice to Hyderabad."
"We all know that PM Modi in the entire two terms has tremendously worked for the nation and he has not just worked and left the love but he has also left a beautiful autograph of 'Modi Ka Pariwar' in the hearts of all Indians. I'm so sure that the entire country today would have been in their prayers, blessing and wishing for '400 paar' and these blessings have a tremendous storm of positivity in the nation along with winning the Hyderabad seat," she said.
This election is crucial for the BJP especially in the South. Gains in Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka would allow the saffron party to overcome the north-south divide for the first time since coming to power in 2014.
Traditionally, Southern states have been strongholds for the I.N.D.I.A bloc. However, exit polls suggest a surge for the BJP in the south. According to the ABP News-CVoter Exit poll results, the BJP alliance is sweeping Andhra Pradesh and making inroads in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Similarly, News 18 exit polls predict 36-39 seats for the BJP in Southern states, compared to 31-34 seats for Congress.

Tamil Nadu, with 39 parliamentary seats, is witnessing intense battles in key constituencies such as Chennai (South), Coimbatore, and Virudhunagar. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), part of the I.N.D.I.A bloc, leads a coalition including Congress, CPI, CPI(M), VCK, and MDMK. The AIADMK, aligned with Puthiya Tamilagam and DMDK, is the primary competitor. The BJP has formed alliances with Pattali Makkal Katchi, Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar), and Amma Makkal Munnettra Kazagam.
In 2019, DMK dominated with 38 seats, leaving AIADMK with only one.
In Andhra Pradesh, Lok Sabha elections coincide with state Assembly polls. The electoral fray in AP features YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) competing independently across all 25 seats. The NDA, led by BJP, has allied with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party.
Karnataka’s elections, held in two phases, see the BJP forming a pre-poll alliance with Janata Dal (Secular), contesting 25 and 3 seats respectively. Congress is contesting all 28 constituencies independently. However, the state’s election landscape was marred by controversy involving Prajwal Revanna of JD(S) in a sexual abuse allegation.
In Kerala, with 20 constituencies, the major players are the United Democratic Front (UDF) led by Congress, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) including CPI(M), CPI, and Kerala Congress (M), and the NDA represented by BJP and Bharath Dharma Jana Sena. The 2019 elections saw INC win 15 seats, CPI(M) 1, Revolutionary Socialist Party 1, Kerala Congress (M) 1, and IUML 2.
