In view of the upcoming phase 2 of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday addressed a rally in Kerala's Chalakudy in Thrissur district. At the sidelines of the rally, the Congress leader questioned Prime Minister Modi's claim that the grand old party and the I.N.D.I.A bloc have been rejected by the voters in the first phase of polling held on April 19.

"How does he know? The results are not out yet," the Congress leader said while questioning PM's claims.

Earlier today, PM Modi, during an election rally in Nanded, Maharashtra claimed that the voters have "completely rejected the alliance as they have seen how the corrupt leaders of the INDI Alliance have come together to serve their own families' interests."

Priyanka Gandhi also questioned how the PM and BJP can claim that they will get over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls this year.

"I do not know how they can be so confident when the results have not come. We are all working very hard," the Congress leader told PTI.

Priyanka Gandhi, who will also be addressing rally in Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon, stated that wherever she goes she meets people who want change. "I am sure change will come," she said.

On being asked whether she will contest from the Raebareli Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress leader said, You will see in a few days.
