The Congress party slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday for his 'Adani-Ambani' comment against the grand old party saying he is passing random comments.

In a first, Modi opened a new front to attack the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi accusing them of hoarding black money from the Adanis and Ambanis.

The oft-used weapon by Rahul Gandhi to attack the Bharatiya Janata Party and PM Modi, Adanis and Ambanis were invoked by Modi during a poll rally in Telangana's Karimnagar.

"You must have seen the Shehzaada of Congress of has been chanting the name of [Mukesh] Ambani and [Gautam] Adani for 5 years. Suddenly, after the announcement of the elections, he stopped abusing Ambani and Adani. The Shehzaada must declare how much maal [money] he got from Ambani and Adani for the elections," Modi said.

"How many bags of black money did he get from them? What deal did you crack with Ambani and Adani that you stopped abusing them overnight after attacking them for over 5 years? This means you have got trucks full of chori ka maal," he added.

Responding to the comments, the Congress party, through its official X handle said that Rahul Gandhi compelled Modi to expose that Adani and Ambani "give away black money in bags."

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said Rahul talks about Adani every day. "He puts the truth about Adani in front of you every day and exposes it," she said at a rally in Uttar Pradesh's Raebareli.

Refuting the claim that the Wayanad MP has stopped taking Adani and Ambani's name after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, Priyanka said, "Rahul Gandhi tells you everyday that Narendra Modi has nexus with big industrialists".
