New Delhi: As ambiguity prevailed on formation of new government in Karnataka, JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy  on Wednesday made a sensation claim accusing the BJP of offering Rs 100 crore to each of his MLAs.

Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru, Deve Gowda's son made it clear that the JDS will have no alliance with BJP.

"JD(S) MLAs are being offered Rs 100 crore each. Where is this black money coming from? They are supposedly the servers of poor people and they are offering money today. Where are the income tax officials," Kumaraswamy asked.

The Congress has also alleged that the BJP is attempting to poach its MLAs to join its camp so that the road gets easier for the saffron party to form the government.

Earlier, four Congress MLAs went incommunicado, but its leader MB Patil dismissed the reports. There were also reports of two JDS MLAs going missing fuelling rumours of getting in touch with BJP.

The BJP's Chief Ministerial face, B.S. Yeddyurappa, this morning staked claim to form the new government in Karnataka. "The party has chosen me. I have given the letter to the Governor & he will call me, that is what I am hoping. He told me he will take an appropriate decision. I'll inform you after I receive letter from Governor" Yeddyurappa told reporters here after meeting Governor Vajubhai R. Vala at Raj Bhavan.

The new BJP lawmakers unanimously elected Yeddyurappa as their legislative party leader.
