Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections: People's Democratic Party released a list of 17 candidates nominated to contest in Jammu and Kashmir's Assembly Polls from Central and North Kashmir. The list includes Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Sheikh Gowher Ali, Mohammad Iqbal Trumboo, Bashir Ahmed Mir, and Aga. Syed Munatzir Mehdi among others.

PDP Releases Manifesto For J&K Assembly Polls
The PDP also released its manifesto titled 'People's Aspirations' for the assembly polls on Saturday, August 24. It was released by former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti in Srinagar.
which promised to restore Jammu and Kashmir to its "original status" and also ensured to hear the voices of the people and safeguard their rights. It also advocated for a regional cooperation between India and Pakistan.
"The PDP is resolute in its pursuit of restoring the constitutional guarantees that were unjustly scrapped, and is committed to restoring Jammu & Kashmir to its original status, ensuring that the voices of its people are heard and their rights are safeguarded," it said.
The party has proposed establishing full connectivity across the Line of Control (LoC) to facilitate trade and social exchange, advocating for a regional free-trade area and a shared economic market.
