Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar resigned on Tuesday, following a chain of events that started after Hisar MP Brijendra Lal Singh switched to the Congress. As the MP switched parties, creating a vacuum in the NDA Lok Sabha candidates' line-up, the Dushyant Chautala-led Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), a BJP ally in Haryana, staked claim to the Hisar seat. According to what sources told ABP News, the JJP also sought the Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha seat.
