Haryana Eelection Results: According to the Election Commission Of India (ECI) website, Congress leader Aftab Ahmed has won the Nuh Assembly seat from Haryana with 91833 votes. Congress leader Aftab Ahmed is the sitting MLA and has bagged the seat previously as well.


Congress candidate Aftab Ahmed is also the deputy leader of the opposition in the outgoing Haryana Assembly, has won by a margin of 46,963 votes in Nuh constituency. 


While Ahmed bagged 91,833 votes, INLD’s Tahir Hussain Hussain won 44,870 votes, and BJP’s Sanjay Singh won 15,902 votes.

BJP leader Singh, who was a sitting MLA from neighbouring Sohna, was given ticket from the violence hit Nuh Assembly Seat in an apparent bid to polarise votes in the constituency that saw violence last year during a Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) yatra.


At around 2 PM, BJP is leading on 46 seats out of 90 seats, while Congress in leading on 37 seats.



On the day of elections, on October 5, a scuffle broke out between the supporters of Congress candidate and independent candidate Raees Khan in Khwaja Kalan and Gulalta villages under the Punhana assembly constituency in the Nuh district of Haryana. Police arrived at the spot and pacified the villagers.


On July 31, 2023, riots had broken out in Nuh during a VHP 'Brajmandal Yatra', leaving six people dead. The violence resulted had also resulted in property damage and a heightened sense of insecurity among the residents.


The violence in 2023 erupted during a religious procession, Braj Mandal Jal Abhishek Yatra of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), leading to clashes between local communities. 


Nuh is part of Haryana's Mewat region, and witnessed communal violence in 2023, which had a major impact on the the socio-political environment ahead of the state assembly elections.
