Haryana has recorded 54.3 per cent voting till 4 pm. Yamunanagar has seen the highest voting turnout at 63% voting, while Faridabad sees lowest turnout.
Voting continues in the Haryana Assembly elections in Nuh. A voting percentage of 36.69 percent was recorded till 1 pm.

A scuffle broke out between Congress candidate Mohammad Ilyas and Independent candidate Rahis Khan in the Khwajakalan village of Punhana assembly under Nuh district. The police rushed to the spot and took charge of the situation.
Congress leader and wrestler Bajrang Punia cast his vote along with wife Sangeeta Phogat at a polling station in Jhajjar. "I am happy that I have cast my first vote for change. Everyone is tired of BJP, everyone wants that this time the government should change and are voting for the Congress government...," said Sangeeta Phogat.
Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala cast his vote at a polling station in Kaithal. His son Aditya Surjewala is the Congress' candidate from this constituency.
Savitri Jindal, an Independent candidate from Hisar constituency, who is one of the "richest woman" in India has said she does not know about her expulsion from the BJP. The saffron party had issued a notice earlier expelling four of its party leaders for contesting the polls as Independents including Savitri.
"I don't know anything about this," she said, adding: "If I find out I will tell you."
"I am contesting the elections as an independent candidate and will do whatever the family wants on behalf of Hisar family. I will not talk about the expulsion now, I don't know anything about it. I don't know anything about BJP. I was not asked anything," she added.
Congress MP Deepender Hooda has urged the Election Commission to expel Bhiwani Superintendent of Police for favouring BJP candidate. "We demanded from the Election Commission that Bhiwani SP should be removed. From yesterday, we have noticed that he working in favour of a BJP candidate. So he should be removed," he said while speaking to reporters ahead of casting vote.
Congress leader Kumari Selja said that the party high command will decide the CM face in the state. "...I am on a certain level, people and the high command are seeing this and they'll decide (about the CM's face). Congress is going to win, BJP will face a loss. The 'misrule' that the BJP has done in these 10 years, people faced a lot of problems...," she said.
The voter turnout at 9:30 am was at 9.53 per cent with Jind clocking the highest at 12.7 per cent while Panchkula recorded the lowest at 4 per cent.

BJP candidate from Ambala, Anil Vij said the people of Ambala don't want hooliganism again in the district. "The people of Ambala want to stay peacefully, they do not want hooliganism back here...Peace means the symbol of lotus...BJP will form its government in Haryana...Kumari Selja is feeling suffocated in Congress, she is not being respected in the party...," he said.

"I have cast my vote in my village and I request people to vote as much as possible and strengthen democracy, play your important role in forming a strong government, vote to take Haryana forward," he said. "BJP's lotus will bloom for the third time in Haryana and Nayab Singh Saini will take oath as CM for the second time...," he added.
After two hours of voting, Haryana clocked 9.53 per cent voting percentage, according to Election Commission of India. Lowest voter turnout was recorded in Panchkula AT 4.08 per cent while Jind logged the highest at 12.71 per cent.
A scuffle broke out between BJP MLA from from Meham assembly, Balraj Kundu and Congress candidate Balram Dangi in Madina village.
Kundu has accused the Congress candidate of misbehavior after which the scuffle broke out and the villagers intervened to diffuse the situation.
Congress leader Kumari Selja, who was much in news in the run-up to the polls, said that the BJP was ready to welcome her in the party because "they are already weak." ""... At the end of the day, our party high command makes decisions... Today's fight will change the fate of Haryana," she said as she cast her vote in Hisar. "Although this a one-sided contest... BJP is ready to welcome me because they are already very weak. They will do anything to have strong leaders with them... We will win all 90 seats...," she added.
Independent candidate from Hisar and one of the richest candidates in the fray, Savitri Jindal cast her vote in the constituency. "I have cast my vote. This is the election of the people of Hisar, everyone should vote. I will try to make Hisar beautiful and developed...," she said.
Congress candidate from Kaithal constituency, Aditya Surjewala claimed there was a problem with an EVM unit at a polling station which was later rectified. "There was a problem in the control unit of the EVM which has now been rectified...," he said after casting his vote.

Former Haryana Deputy Chief Miniter and Jannayak Janta Party candidate from Uchana Kalan, Dushyant Chautala cast his vote in Sirsa and requested everyone to step out and vote. "I request every citizen to go out and vote. This is the biggest moment of democracy and in this biggest moment, everyone's vote is common. In this vote, your power today will make the future of state for the next 5 years," he said.
"There is a triangular contest, and the regional powers (parties) will emerge as original powers," he added.
The exit polls for Haryana assembly elections will be out soon after the polling ends at 6 pm. In accordance with Election Commission of India, predictions are set to be aired at 6:30 pm.

Voters were seen up queued outside polling stations in Nuh which was marred with communal clashes last year.
INLD candidate from Dabwali constituency, Aditya Devilal claimed that the INLD-BSP alliance will form the next government in Haryana.
"The highlight of these elections is that our family has come together... INLD and BSP have formed an alliance. Historically, whenever farmers and workers have formed an alliance, it has given rise to a huge revolution," he said.
"INLD and BSP will form government in the state... For the last 20 years, people of the state have voted National parties into power because of this, regional issues have been ignored... There's a terrific undercurrent and the results will definitely be shocking...," he added.
BJP leader Kuldeep Bishnoi along with his son, Bhavya Bishnoi who is the party candidate from Adampur Assembly constituency cast their vote in Hisar.
Haryana Chief Minister and party candidate from Ladwa seat, Nayab Singh Saini cast his vote in Ambala. Ahead of casting his vote, Saini offered prayers at a temple and Gurudwara. He exuded confidence that the saffron party will form the government for the third time in the state.
"We are winning and forming our government for the third time with a huge margin. Congress does the politics of lies, they lied during Lok Sabha elections that the Constitution and reservation will be finished. Rahul Gandhi has the biggest role in ending reservations. From Jawaharlal Nehru to Indira Gandhi to Rajiv Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, all have spoken to end reservations in the country...," he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the voters to come out and and "be part of the holy festival of democracy."
"Voting is taking place today for the Haryana Assembly elections. I appeal to all voters to be a part of this holy festival of democracy and set a new record of voting. On this occasion, my special best wishes to all the young friends of the state who are going to vote for the first time," he said in a post on X.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also urged voters to vote to free Haryana from "kharchi-parchi raj, corruption and dealers."
"I urge all my sisters and brothers to vote to maintain the pace of development and to elect a government that takes the government out of one district and reaches every village of Haryana. Only a government with a track record of development and good governance, and not one making false promises, can bring welfare to Haryana," he said.
Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker, who cast her vote for the first time urged people to step out and exercise their franchise. "Being the youth of this country, it is our responsibility to cast our vote for the most favourable candidate. Small steps lead to big goals... I voted for the first time...," she said after casting her vote at a polling station in Jhajjar.
Her father Ram Kishan Bhaker said: "Manu is the brand ambassador and a youth icon for voting. She had to come. We vote in every election. How will our village develop if we do not vote... I would request everyone to come out and vote. It's better to come out today than to curse the government for the next five years..."
Haryana Chief Minister and BJP candidate from Ladwa constituency, Nayab Singh Saini offered prayers at a temple in Ambala ahead of casting his vote. He also sought divine blessing at a Gurudwara before his vote.

Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker was spotted early in the morning at a polling station in Jhajjar, shortly after polling began in the state, to cast her vote.
Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar boasted of BJP winning more than 50 seats this time."...We will get more than 50 seats this time," he said after casting his vote in Karnal.

Polling has begun for all the 90 seats in Haryana with over 2 crore voters set to seal the fate of 1,031 candidates.
Heavy security has been deployed in the state ahead of the voting to ensure free and fair polls in Haryana, said DGP Shatrujeet Kapur. More than 30,000 police personnel and 225 paramilitary companies have been deployed to ensure safety and peace in the state. A total of 20,632 polling booths have been set up across the state.
Among the poll booths, 3,460 polling booths have been classified as critical, and 138 have been deemed vulnerable, thereby necessitating increased security measures there.
In the assembly polls held in 2019, the BJP emerged as the single largest party finishig at 40 seats but fell five seats short of the majority. It forged a post-poll alliance with Dushyant Chautala's JJP and seven Independents. The Congress won 31 seats followed by JJP (10), Independent (7), INLD (1), and Haryana Lokhit Party (1).

Polls for the 90-member Haryana Legislative Assembly are set to begin shortly to seal the fate of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the opposition Congress party in the state. The voting will begin at 7 am where over two crore eligible voters will cast ballots and the votes will be counted on October 8.

Around 2.03 crore voters will decide the fate of 1,031 candidates as the state goes for polling in Haryana to elect representatives for its 90 Assembly constituencies. Voting will be held from 7 AM to 6 PM.
Out of the total candidates, 101 are women and 464 are contesting as Independents.
Haryana's Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal said 2,03,54,350 voters, including 8,821 centurions, are eligible to cast ballots. Out of the total voters, 1,07,75,957 are men, 95,77,926 are women, and 467 are transgenders. 2,31,093 voters are above the age of 85 years, while 8,821 voters aged over 100.
The key parties in fray for the Haryana Assembly elections are BJP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, INLD-BSP, and JJP-Azad Samaj Party.
Prominent candidates include Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini (Ladwa), Leader of Opposition Hooda (Garhi Sampla-Kiloi), BJP's Anil Vij (Ambala Cantt), INLD's Abhay Singh Chautala (Ellenabad), Capt Abhimanyu (Narnaund) and O P Dhankar (Badli), JJP's Dushyant Chautala (Uchana Kalan), AAP's Anurag Dhanda (Kalayat), and Congress's Vinesh Phogat (Julana).
BJP has fielded former CM late Bhajan Lal's grandson Bhavya Bishnoi from Adampur segment in Hisar. Arti Rao, whose father Rao Inderjit Singh is a Union Minister, has been nominated from Ateli in Mahendragarh.
The list of independent candidates include Savitri Jindal (Hisar), Ranjit Chautala (Rania) and Chitra Sarwara (Ambala Cantt).
A total of 20,632 polling booths have been set up across the state for voting. Of these, 3,460 polling booths have been classified as critical, and 138 have been deemed vulnerable.
More than 30,000 police personnel and 225 paramilitary companies have been deployed to ensure peace in the state. Additionally, 186 interstate and 215 intra-state checkpoints have been established, where police teams will regularly monitor all the movements closely.
A total of 27,866 Electronic Voting Machines (ballot units) including reserved units, will be used in the election. Voters will also be able to verify their vote on the VVPAT machine.
In the 2019 assembly polls, Haryana recorded 68 per cent voter turnout. Haryana Assembly elections 2024 results will be announced on October 8.
