The Congress party released its election manifesto for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections in Ahmedabad today. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot released the manifesto in presence of other senior party leaders.






The manifesto according to a tweet shared by the congress party focuses on bringing an end to privatisation of healthcare and education sectors.


"The people of Gujarat will not allow rampant privatisation of Education and Healthcare. Let's bring the change together. Vote for Congress, the tweet reads.






The manifesto for Gujarat Assembly elections also promised debt waiver for farmers, gas cylinder at Rs 500 and 300 free units of electricity, according to another tweet shared by the party.


Roughly translated from Hindi to English the tweet reads, "The Congress has always been with the farmers. In order to improve the condition of the farmers of Gujarat, a Committee' will be set up to fix the price of the crop. We will change the condition of the farmers who are going to support the Congress party."


The manifest also promises to ensure 10 lakh government vacancies to the youth of Gujarat.
