As campaign for Gujarat Assembly election picks up pace, political parties are using unique ways to pass on their message to the voters. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has brought in a robot to campaign for them in the state election. From distributing pamphlets to doing door-to-door campaign, the robot helps party candidates in carrying out various work related to the assembly election in the state.
It is also fitted with speakers with pre-recorded slogans to campaign for candidates.
Harshit Patel, the manufacturer of the Robot says, "This robot distributes pamphlets to the public. We also use it for door-to-door campaigns, and Legislation Assembly's work, we have also attached speakers along with pre-recorded slogans for candidate campaigning," reported ANI.
The ruling BJP started campaignig for 82 out of 89 seats for the first phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections on Friday.
Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Narendra Singh Tomar, Anurag Thakur, Faggan Singh Kulaste, V K Singh and Bharati Pawar are expected to take part in the campaign, reported news agency PTI.
Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, UP deputy CM Brijesh Pathak, Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Suvendu Adhikari, BJP Yuva Morcha national president Tejasvi Surya and MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal are also in the list of national leaders who will hit the campaign trail, the news agency reported.
Elections in Gujarat will be held in two phases, on December 1 and 5 for 182 assembly seats.
For the last 27 years the BJP has been in power in Gujarat. Earlier, it was always a straight fight between the BJP and the Congress but with Aam Aadmi Party making an entry, the results could be a little different.
