DMK's Dharmapuri MP, S. Senthilkumar, known for his 'gaumutra states' remark in Parliament, was not renominated by the party for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Describing himself as an "unconventional" politician, Senthil Kumar expressed gratitude to friends on X who questioned why he wasn't given another chance by the party to contest the LS polls.
Additionally, he also faced criticism on social media over past controversial remarks.
Taking to X, Senthilkumar said, "Thank you Twitter friends for enormous support & unconditional love. What have I done to receive such bountiful unadulterated Love. I have done nothing spl , Other than being myself an -Unconventional politician. How am I going to repay this With more-#Contact_details_please"

After several posts cropped up asking about his omission, Dharmapuri MP Senthilkumar expressed contentment in serving the people of Dharmapuri Lok Sabha constituency over the past five years and cited the implementation of several beneficial schemes in the region. Senthil Kumar extended his best wishes to A. Mani, an advocate, nominated by the DMK as its candidate for the Dharmapuri LS seat.
Senthilkumar made news for his remark of 'Gaumutra' in the Parliament. While speaking on a debate on Bills related to Jammu and Kashmir, Senthil Kumar last year asked, "Why the BJP could win polls only in the Hindi heartland states, what we generally call as gaumutra (cow urine) states. You (BJP) cannot come to south India."
