New Delhi: ABP News’ exit poll of prominent journalists of Rajasthan predicted an imminent Congress government in the state with the party winning a clear majority in the December 7 assembly polls.  The poll predicted the party’s strong chances to crush BJP in almost all the regions of the state.

As per the exit poll of journalists, Congress will succeed in clinching 113 seats of the 200-member assembly, reducing BJP to 62 seats. Elections were conducted on 199 seats in the state.

In central Rajasthan, Congress is likely to grab 20 seats of the 36 seats, while BJP gets 12 and others get 4 seats. In Hadoti region which has a total of 17 seats under it, a tough contest can be witnessed with Congress getting 9 seats and BJP getting 8 seats.

In Matsya region, journalists predicted that Congress will take a huge lead by securing 20 of the 29 seats, while BJP will be reduced to 5 seats.

In the North of the state, Congress is predicted to outdo BJP by grabbing 26 of the 39 seats, while BJP will be getting 9 seats.

In South Rajasthan too, Congress will emerge strong with 21 seats of the 35 seats, while, BJP is likely to get 11 seats.

In Western Rajasthan, BJP is predicted to give a tough fight to Congress and both the parties are likely to get 17 seats each.



As per ABP News exit poll on Friday, Congress is set to sweep the polls, winning between 101 seats with a vote share of 41.5 per cent. Followed by BJP with 83 seats with 40% vote share. While, 15 seats will be grabbed by others.

In 2013, the BJP won 163 of the 200 seats. The Congress finished a distant second with just 21 seats. Polling in Rajasthan ended on December 7. The votes would be counted on December 11.
