After a spectacular performance by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in four states including UP, U'khand, Goa & Manipur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is about to reach the party headquarters in New Delhi. According to reports, PM Modi is scheduled to reach BJP HQ at around 7 pm.
Other BJP bigwigs such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani, and many others have already reached the party headquarters which has been flooded by workers and supporters of the saffron party.

BJP, which won 20 seats in the 40-member Goa Assembly, secured 33.31 % vote share, while Congress party bagged 11 seats with 23.46% vote share.
MGP on the other hand won only 2 seats with 7.60% vote share and even the AAP could manage to win mere won 2 seats with 6.77% votes share.
Interestingly, Trinamool Congress failed to win a single seat despite securing 5.21% votes in the election. Goa Forward, whose tally went down from 3 to 1 seat polled 1.84% votes, NCP 1.14%, Shiv Sena 0.18% and other parties including Revolutionary Goans Party & independents got 19.37% votes. What is noteworthy is that NOTA got 1.12% votes.

According to Election Commission trends, BJP has won 30 and is leading on 220 seats In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party has won 3 and is leading on 113.

In a massive setback for Congress in Punjab, Navjot Singh Sidhu has lost his seat from Amritsar East by a margin of 6,750 votes.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gurmeet Singh Meet Haher has won the Barnala Assembly constituency by 36,637 votes.
BJP is retaining power in all four states where it contested as incumbent and is improving its performance in Punjab.
Uttar Pradesh

The first trend in favor of BJP from Uttarakhand, BJP ahead on 8 seats and SP on 4 in Uttar Pradesh as per early trends. Only postal ballots are being counted as of now.

Going by the Exit polls, Yogi is to return in UP, Punjab will be grabbed by AAP, a see-saw battle in Uttarakhand and Goa, and most likely sweep for BJP this time around in Manipur.
Counting agents of various parties are pouring in at the counting centres in Varanasi before the postal ballots are opened at 8 am, followed by counting of votes recorded in EVMs.
"The counting is expected to be over by the evening. Section 144 has been imposed in the Varanasi Commissionerate area," Varanasi district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma has said.

Assembly Election Result 2022 HIGHLIGHTS: The much-awaited counting of votes for Assembly Elections in five states including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur started at 8 am and ABP Live showed you every important update during the D-Day.
According to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the counting of postal ballots and then EVMs started at 8 am.
Three-tier security measures were set up by ECI with the deployment of several companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and others at all counting centres. The Chief Election Officer (CEO) had also said that a 100-m radius around the counting centres were declared a "pedestrian zone" and no one will be allowed to drive in that zone.
The early trends indicated an overview of the final result around mid-day but the final results came late evening.
Trends in states with less number of Assembly seats like Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur got clear by afternoon, but the counting of votes in Uttar Pradesh is likely to take some time since the populous state has as many as 403 seats.
Assembly Elections 2022 - Round-Up
As many as 690 Assembly constituencies spread across 5 states have voted in the past two months, including UP (403 seats), Punjab (117 seats), Uttarakhand (70 seats), Goa (40 seats) and Manipur (60 seats).
Uttar Pradesh witnessed Assembly elections in as many as seven phases - February 10, February 14, February 20, February 23, February 27, March 3, and March 7.
Elections in Goa and Uttarakhand were held in a single phase on February 14. Punjab, too, voted in single-phase on February 20.
Voters in Manipur exercised their franchise in two phases on February 28 and March 5.
Exit Poll 2022 Results
According to ABP News -CVoter Exit Poll, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is projected to retain power in the crucial state of Uttar Pradesh by securing around 228-244 seats. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party will also put up an impressive show and is likely to get 132-148 seats, but far short to challenge the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP in Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is projected to win 17 seats, while six seats will go to Congress.
In Punjab, the Exit Polls revealed that Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is projected to get 51-61 seats, within kissing distance of the majority mark. The ruling Congress is slated to get 22-28 seats while the Akali Dal is projected to get 20-26 seats.
In Uttarakhand, the Congress is very close to the majority mark and is projected to get 32-38 seats in the 70-member Assembly. The ruling BJP is projected to get 26-32 seats. The others category in Uttarakhand is likely to get 3-7 seats of which 3 is likely for BSP.
Goa is likely to witness a hung Assembly with no party getting a majority. The ruling BJP is projected to win 13-17 seats in the 40-member Assembly. The Congress alliance will secure 12-16 seats. Trinamool Congress (TMC) is likely to get 5-9 seats while other parties will secure 0-2 seats.
In Manipur, there is no clear verdict. The BJP is the single largest party at 23-27 seats in the 60-member Assembly, followed by Congress at 12-16 and NPP at 10-14 seats.
