AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday admitted that his government could not fulfil three guarantees that he had promised in 2020. Kejriwal, while releasing the AAP's manifesto for the Delhi Assembly election 2025, said that he could not fulfil his promises made five years ago due to the conspiracies of the JP that broke his team.

The Aam Aadmi party leader and former Delhi Chief Minister said: "When we returned to power in 2020, I promised you three things: every household will have 24×7 water supply, Yamuna will be cleaned, and Delhi streets will be of European standards. However, we failed."

"In February 2020, we formed the government. Covid-9 pandemic hit India in March and continued for 2.5 years. After that they [BJP] started jailing my team by implicating us in fake cases. Satyendar Jain, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh... all were jailed. My team was scattered," Kejriwal said.

He further said: "Now, we are out and we shall fulfil these promises as it is my personal dream. We shall complete these three promises in the next 5 years. We have funds and complete plans to achieve the same."

He said his government would fix the sewerage system in Delhi on a war footing.

He also promised that the existing "freebies" in Delhi would continue. "Free power, free water, free education, free pilgrimage for senior citizens, free bus rides for women, and free healthcare in an expanded network of hospitals and clinics would continue," he said.
