Ahead of the upcoming Uttarakhand assembly elections that are due on February 14, Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public rally in Dhanaulti today. In his address to the people, he recounted the achievements of the BJP government in the state.

Shah launched an attack on Congress saying that they 'cannot develop the state as they do not have the intention or the will power to work' for the people. He added that Congress never did any work after the Kedarnath flash floods of 2014.

While he appealed to the people of the state to vote for BJP and give their mandate to Pushkar Singh Dhami to become their CM, he also launched an attack on Congress.

He said that if the BJP government is formed in the state then there will be a ropeway developed between Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib. He also said that an elevated road will be constructed between Delhi and Dehradun that will reduce the travel time to 2.5 hours that used to take many more hours earlier.

While recounting the work done by the BJP government in the state, Shah said that it was BJP that developed the Char Dham Yatra with an investment of Rs 13,000 crores. He added that the BJP redeveloped the Kedarnath Dham after the flash floods of 2014 by investing Rs 400 crores.
He further counted the ongoing projects under the BJP government saying that his party is working on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag  Rail Line project that is being built at a cost of Rs 16,000 crore. He added that the work for Tanakpur-Bageshwar Rail Line will also begin soon.
