Chhattisgarh Sends More Women To Assembly This Year, Holds On To Unique Record

Chhattisgarh Election Results 2023: This year, Chhattisgarh elected the highest number of women in the assembly polls since its inception in 2000.

The Chhattisgarh Assembly Election Results 2023 on Sunday revealed that the state has bettered its record of women's representation. Chhattisgarh already had the highest percentage of women MLAs. This year, Chhattisgarh elected the highest number of women in the assembly polls since it was carved out of Madhya Pradesh in 2000. This year, the voters elected a total of 18 women MLAs, which is 20% of the House strength. This is the highest percentage of women MLAs in any assembly in the country.
