Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath intensified his election campaign in Chhattisgarh on Sunday, addressing two public meetings and a roadshow. He condemned the killing of BJP worker Ratan Dubey, attributing his murder to Naxalite elements acting “at the behest of Congress“. He asserted that those responsible for this act would face consequences, saying, “The murder reflects the frustrations of the Congress and Naxals. They know that a double engine government is coming, and the moment it arrives, the bulldozer of UP will crush them.”

Yogi Adityanath further asserted that the killing of BJP workers, the poor, and tribals “in the name of Love jihad“ would not be tolerated. He criticised the Congress for its alleged involvement in various scams, claiming that this culture had become ingrained in the party.

“Just yesterday you must have seen that a new scam of Mahadev App has surfaced. It is said that people close to the Chhattisgarh government have defrauded lakhs of poor people of more than Rs 500 crore. This Congress government has gone two steps ahead of Lalu ji's fodder scam and is eating cow dung,” he remarked.

Yogi Adityanath further stressed that “Committing scam after scam, including cow dung, mining, coal, public service commission, etc., has become the culture of Congress.”

He promised that if the BJP came to power, it would thoroughly investigate these alleged scams, “Chhattisgarh needs a double-engine government. This government had done all the scams. Let the BJP government come, we will get all scams investigated. You must have seen how those who commit robbery on the public's hard-earned money are punished in UP. Those who commit robbery on the earnings of the poor should be given similar punishment.”

The UP CM accused the Congress government of playing with the faith of the people, citing examples of religious festivals being “restricted“ during their rule. He contrasted this with the current state of affairs in his state, highlighting the Kanwar Yatra and other festivities that had been permitted and encouraged. He expressed his desire to protect the rights and properties of the poor from criminals and mafia.

Yogi Adityanath urged voters to support BJP candidate Maniram Kashyap from the Bastar assembly constituency, emphasising that a BJP government in Chhattisgarh would combat Naxalism and curb acts of religious conversion.

The Chief Minister paid tribute to District Panchayat member and District Vice President of BJP, Ratan Dubey. He also recounted the case of Ishwar Sahu, a BJP worker, whose son was allegedly murdered.

“BJP worker Ishwar Sahu is contesting elections from Saja. A malicious attempt was made to convert a girl from his village into a Muslim by luring and deceiving her through Love Jihad. The girl's protest and complaint were not heard. On the instigation of Congress leaders, Ishwar's son Bhuvaneshwar Sahu was murdered just because he was helping the girl. Killing of BJP workers, poor and tribals in the name of Love Jihad will not be accepted,” he emphasised.

Yogi Adityanath also remembered former MP Baliram Kashyap and praised the development projects worth Rs 12,000 crore that had been initiated in Bastar under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, describing them as a tribute to Baliram Kashyap.
