The BJP has launched its booth outreach programme — 'Mission April 14'. Under this plan, the BJP aims to reach every voter in the country five days before the first phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha election kicks off. The BJP has asked its panna pramukhs to meet all voters of their respective areas by April 14, five days before the first phase of voting begins on April 19. The BJP is aiming to win 370 seats this Lok Sabha election.
A panna pramukh takes charge of reaching out to voters listed on a page on the electoral rolls. 'Panna' in Hindi means 'page'. As many as 60 voters are usually listed on each page of the electoral rolls and the panna pramukhs, along with their sah panna pramukhs, have to meet all the 60 voters by April 14. After that, the panna pramukh will submit their reports on the outreach programme.
