Bharatiya Janata Party leader Tejasvi Surya on Wednesday took a jibe at the Congress party during an election rally in Jharkhand's Ranchi over I.N.D.I.A bloc's "we will win over 300 seats" remark. In response to this remark by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Surya quipped "Kharge will work for Congress dhundho yatra" after the elections conclude.

"Rahul Gandhi has held two yatras - 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' and 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'. After the elections, Rahul Gandhi will have to do 'Congress Dhundho Yatra', and Mallikarjun Kharge will work as this yatra's coordinator," BJP leader Tejasvi Surya said, hitting out at the grand old party.

On May 20, Union Home Minister Amit Shah too made a similar remark against Congress while addressing an election rally in Karnal, Haryana.

During the rally, Shah said that Rahul Gandhi would need to embark on a "Congress Dhundo Yatra" after June 4, as the grand party would struggle to even bag 40 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

The "prince" of Congress, Rahul Gandhi, who led the "Bharat Jodo Yatra" would now launch a "Congress Dhundho Yatra," Shah remarked, while campaigning for BJP candidate from Hissar, Ranjit Singh Chautala.

Shah also made claims during the rally regarding the seats BJP secured in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls. The Union Minister claimed that the saffron party had already secured a majority with 270 seats, and added that it would exceed 400 seats by the end of the last phase.
